The Village of Children and Families
(732) 451-4452
Point Pleasant
The Village was founded on the belief that every child and young adult connected to foster care deserves dignity, stability, and the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our purpose is to strengthen the network of support surrounding foster youth and the families who care for them by addressing unmet needs and removing barriers to opportunity. Through community engagement, advocacy, and compassionate support, The Village fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment for those we serve, helping young people build confidence, independence, and the foundation for a successful future. Families within the foster care community—including foster parents, caregivers, and the children they support—often face unique challenges and require meaningful support.
The Village currently serves more than 125 foster families across Monmouth and Ocean Counties, supporting over 400 children. In addition to providing essential items such as clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and school supplies, The Village has become a trusted community hub where foster families can connect, share experiences, and support one another. We host regular family meet-ups to foster relationships, fulfill holiday wish lists for children, and provide birthday gift coupons so every child can experience the joy of celebrating their special day. By creating opportunities for connection, care, and celebration, The Village ensures that children in foster care feel valued, supported, and included in the experiences that help shape a healthy and hopeful future.
