Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey builds a brighter future for children by promoting faimly wellness, positive parenting, healthy child development, and nurturing communities. We educate parents, provide training and technical assistance to youth & family serving organizations and schools, and keep community members informed. We help transform homes and schools into nurturing, trauma-informed environments.

Annually, our programs reach tens of thousands of children and families via:

• Healthy Families America and Parents as Teachers home visiting services to ensure babies are healthy and nurtured right from the start.
• Education to teach parents about healthy child development and positive, healthy ways to discipline.
• Facilitating parental involvement in children's education and learning so that families and schools work together to help children realize their full academic success.
• Working in preschools, child care centers, schools and school districts to educate teachers and parents about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and building resilience in children; helping schools become trauma-sensitive environments.
• Providing training and technical assistance to professionals who work with children and families statewide.
• Organizing community awareness events that keep community members informed and educated.
