Following are some facts about the line:

* Funded by NJ Department of Human Services/Division of Mental Health & Addiction Services (DMHAS). 
* Hotline operates 24/7, 365 days/year, committed to answering all calls made in NJ without having to use Lifeline out of state network.
* Staff includes a clinical supervisor on every shift, peer counselors, specialists and volunteers.
* Ability to accept warm transfer of callers from other help lines.
* Ability to warm transfer high risk callers to emergency services (Hopeline staff will staff on the line until caller is connected to emergency response).
* Will connect callers with needed treatment and community resources.
* Will provide follow up calls to check on status and to check that connection with treatment has been made.
* Will be adding texting and live chat.
* Creating a New Jersey Hopeline website with information and resources.
