Larry's Home: A Veteran Sober Living Home
The Veteran Sober Living Program is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment for veterans recovering from substance use disorders. Our goal is to assist veterans in achieving long-term sobriety, stability, and successful reintegration into civilian life. This program emphasizes peer support, personal responsibility, and access to essential resources.
Our program is built upon the following core principles:- Structure and Accountability: Residents are required to adhere to a strict daily schedule, participate in house meetings, and maintain employment or educational commitments.
- Peer Support: Living alongside fellow veterans creates a unique bond and network of understanding, which is vital for long-term recovery.
- Resource Navigation: We connect residents with VA benefits, employment services, mental health care, and addiction treatment resources.
- Community Reintegration: The program focuses on developing life skills necessary for independent living and fostering positive engagement with the broader community.
- Veteran Status: Must provide proof of honorable or general discharge from the U.S. military.
- Sobriety: Must demonstrate a commitment to sobriety and pass a drug and alcohol screening upon entry.
- Treatment Completion: Preference is given to veterans who have recently completed an inpatient or intensive outpatient addiction treatment program.
- Commitment: Must sign a program agreement affirming adherence to all house rules and program requirements, including attending mandatory meetings and finding employment within 30 days.
Accepting applications as of January 26th, must be a veteran residing in Ocean County. Call: 732-279-6157 (Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
