HABcore, Inc.

HABcore, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation serving Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

HABcore provides stable housing and supportive services to more than 1,000 people experiencing homelessness across Monmouth and Ocean counties. The agency was formed in 1988, after three homeless men froze to death in Red Bank.

HABcore offers safe and affordable housing to low-income families, veterans and people with disabilities. We operate a range of housing programs, including permanent supportive housing, transitional supportive housing, adult congregate living and emergency shelter. Our housing programs include wraparound services that address the barriers preventing stability and economic mobility.

Our Street Outreach Team helps people who are living in motels, tents, cars and other unsafe places to transition from crisis to stability by offering supportive services that help them rebuild their lives.

We offer comprehensive case management services, supported employment, financial literacy, healthcare coordination, linkages to community resources, wellness education, parenting skills, and life skills development. We house 150-plus children and provide programming focused on behavior modification, academic achievement and vocational planning. Residents benefit from personalized assistance in obtaining and maintaining housing, accessing benefits, resolving landlord issues, and building long-term support networks.

Through a comprehensive, trauma-informed approach, HABcore empowers clients to stabilize their lives and achieve greater independence.
