Helping Youth Prepare for Employment (HYPE)Mission: Assist Ocean County youth participants (16-24 years) in gaining knowledge, skills, training, and individual assistance in finding, gaining, and retaining employment or post-secondary education.

Toms River & Manahawkin offices, also offering virtual/hybrid options.

Services Offered

  • Clinical Support
    Ocean County out-of-school youth typically has multiple barriers restricting them from obtaining post-secondary education and/or employment. The HYPE program wants to ensure all participants of HYPE are being provided the levels of service and support for them to achieve their goals. Services are offered in individual and group settings.
  • Participants will be offered clinical support but will not be required to continue clinical services to participate in the vocational aspect of programming.
  • Employment and Vocational Case Management(services provided in a one-to-one setting):
    • Individual Employment Plan (IEP)/Individual Vocational Plan (IVP)
    • Barrier Reduction Assistance
    • Goal Obtainment Assistance
    • Vocational Enrollment Support
    • On the road Drivers Ed
    • Direct Employment Linkages
    • Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Opportunities
    • One-to-One Employment Soft Skills
    • Participant Specific Assistance(work supplies, uniforms, transportation, clothing, etc.)
    • Additional One-to-One Training Support
    • Community Service Placement/Volunteer Sites
    • Job Coaching
    • Adult Mentoring Services in Career of Participant Interest
    • Interviewing Skills
    • Career Exploration and High Skill Identification
    • Direct Advocacy to other organizations/employment opportunities/etc. if needed
    • Federal Bonding
