4 Elements Earth Education

4E offers programs that introduce Earth Skills, which are a blend of the ancient arts of tracking, wilderness survival, and nature awareness.  Our curriculum and experienced instructors give children, teens, and adults first-hand experience of how to 'read' the landscape as stewards of the Earth.

Coyote Tracks and Young Coyote Tracks
Coyote Tracks and Young Coyote Tracks programs provide a time and place for children to explore nature in a hands-on way. We use storytelling and outdoor adventure to guide participants through their introduction to and exploration of Earth skills—a blend of the ancient arts of tracking, wilderness survival, and nature awareness.

These fun and interactive programs aim to nurture each participant’s true sense of belonging here on the Earth.

Each week/session is a unique experience, but the season series will include timeless wanders, ancient awareness games, hands-on activities, and more!  Older children will also practice working with or making various tools, as well as fire building. All ages will enjoy hands-on activities, games, adventures and so much more!

Teen Leadership & Wilderness Weekends
Teens will develop skills in self-reliance, communication, and leadership through living as a small community with support. They will practice tracking, nature awareness, and other Earth Skills such as how to build a shelter, make a fire, procure clean water, and harvest food.

Teens will also go on excursions, explore wildlife, and adapt their skills to different areas of the Pine Barrens.

Family Wilderness Skills
