The MORE Project (Mom’s Offering Recovery Experience)
MORE provides FREE peer support services that are specifically tailored for moms in recovery, staffed by moms in long term recovery, who understand the unique challenges & complexities of both motherhood & recovery. The MORE Project is for Moms in any phase of motherhood (from being pregnant, to toddlers, to school aged kids, to having adult children) and in any stage of recovery (precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, or relapse). It is often said that “It takes a Village”, however many moms in recovery do not have a village… until now! The MORE Project understands the importance of support in both motherhood & recovery… the MORE support the better! By promoting acceptance, understanding, & empowerment, The MORE Project offers a supportive, safe, non-judgmental space where moms can connect on topics such as managing stress, rebuilding family dynamics, balancing parenting & recovery, navigating & accessing resources like housing and childcare, and much more, all while promoting long-term recovery. By offering these specialized supportive services, The MORE Project aims to provide a little extra support to moms on their journey toward overall well-being & also strengthen family stability.
