Become a Hospice Volunteer
If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in people’s lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping improve the quality of life for our patients, their families, and their caregivers.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Administrative-Biography Projects/Chart of Life
Interview Caregivers/Patients about the patient’s life and create a beautifully written biography accompanied by pictures made into framed project that is presented to the patient and their loved ones. - Remote
Make Tuck-In calls to support hospice operations and assist in meeting patients’ needs and supporting their hospice care experience. - Bereavement
Support family members who have lost a loved one, sending cards, making calls. - Direct Patient Care
Visit and support patients one-on-one. Provide companionship and support - Veteran to Veteran
Providing companionship/support, listening to Veteran patients reminisce - Professional
Share a special skillset or credential you have with patients and families
