FCC Lifeline Program

The Pride Center of New Jersey, Inc. has been fulfilling the support and social needs of thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people since first opening its doors in 1994.

National Runaway Safeline

Call 1-800-RUNAWAY if you are a teenager who is thinking of running from home, if you have a friend who has run and is looking for help, or if you are a runaway ready to go home through our Home Free program. Call if you are a teacher looking for information to pass along to your students about alternatives to running from home. Call if you care about a youth and want information on how you can help someone who may be at risk of running from home.

NJ Child Abuse / Neglect Hotline

All reports of child abuse and neglect, including those occurring in institutional settings such as child care centers, schools, foster homes and residential treatment centers, must be reported to the State Central Registry (SCR). This is a toll-free, 24-hour, seven-days-a-week hotline.

Eating Disorder Hope maintains a listing of New Jersey eating disorders treatment centers to help individuals and loved ones seeking recovery from anorexia nervosa, bulimia, compulsive overeating or other eating disorders.

NJ Hopeline - Suicide Hotline

The hotline - NJHOPELINE (855-654-6735) - operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and serves as a backup to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network during times of excess call volume or after the Lifeline Crisis Centers' operating hours.

NJ DCF Women’s Referral Central Hotline

NJ DCF Women’s Referral Central Hotline: 1-800-322-8092 – 24 hrs/7 days - referrals and basic information in areas such as discrimination, housing, displaced homemakers, divorce, violence, and other areas of concern.

NJ National Guard Family Programs

For Military families – NJ National Guard Family Programs – 1-888-859-0352 – assists in keeping soldiers and their families aware of a number of benefits, youth programs, support organizations and networks available to them. Fair Housing Accessibilty First

Our program name, Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST, has dual significance. FIRST describes the services offered by the program: Fair Housing Information, Resources, Support, and Technical Guidance. It also conveys the importance of planning for compliance with the accessibility requirements first - before engineering, before design, before construction. Not only does federal law require compliance, it is easier and cheaper to plan and build in compliance with the law than it is to retrofit a structure after construction.
