  • Vaping in Adolescence (6/3 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) via Zoom
    This presentation will provide an overview of the vaping epidemic and what we know about the effects of vaping today. We will explore the social impacts of vaping and how to tackle nicotine addiction through prevention and recovery using evidence-based practices. Attendees will also learn about current policies that are in place to help schools manage nicotine addiction.   • Dual Training: CRI Trauma-Informed Program & READY to Stand Human Trafficking Prevention (6/27 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) in Eatontown, NJ 
    The Trauma-Informed Certification Program covers three topics: The NEAR Sciences – the scientific findings in Neuroscience, Epigenetics, ACE studies, and Resilience. Beneath Behavior – using the knowledge of brain networks to understand the factors that drive behavior. ROLES – CRI’s strategy in responding to trauma. Human trafficking can happen anywhere. Learn how to identify signs of human trafficking and respond in a possible trafficking situation.   • Dual Training: Suicide Safety for Teachers and School Staff (SSTSS) & Awareness, Interaction, Direction (A.I.D.) (7/31 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM) in Eatontown, NJ 
    The SSTSS training is designed to meet the basic needs of school administration, faculty, and staff. Emphasis is on recognizing warning signs, clarifying the referral process in place at school, and making a warm handoff. A.I.D. teaches participants how to interact effectively with someone experiencing mental distress. Participants will be able to recognize signs and symptoms of distress, effectively interact with someone in distress, and be able to locate and provide resources to individuals in distress.   • Ask, Advise, Refer (AAR) (8/7 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) via Zoom
