DV-SOS: Free 2-Hour Webinar on Domestic Violence
APFC offers free, 2-hour webinars on domestic violence to social service agencies as part of our DV-SOS program.
We offer two topics to choose from:
- DV101
Discussion of the dynamics of domestic violence (DV) that includes the types of abuse, warning signs of abuse, restraining orders, VCCO (Victims of Crime Compensation Office) benefits, resources, and safety plans. - Effects of DV on Children
Discussion of the emotional and behavioral impact of DV on children; techniques in talking to children who are exposed to domestic violence at home; and local resources for referral/support.
