Ocean Monmouth Health Alliance (OMHA) is a regional chronic disease coalition comprised of health care providers, public health professionals, caregivers, cancer survivors, volunteers and advocates from Ocean and Monmouth Counties. It aims to reduce the cancer, chronic disease and COVID-19 burden in the Region through coalition activities and initiatives supporting the goals of New Jersey Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, conducted by the Office of Cancer Control and Prevention (OCCP).

OMHA’s capacity to establish and grow partnerships between individuals and organizations enhances its ability to address cancer, chronic disease and COVID-19 issues. OMHA provides a neutral table where diverse groups can work together to produce measurable improvement in the lives of residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties. OMHA has extensive experience implementing education/awareness programs and evidence/practice-based interventions to achieve quality community programming that focuses on priority cancers with achievable outcomes. OMHA members bring a wealth of public health expertise, service delivery, outreach, program implementation and strategic thinking to the health issues facing the Region. Together we identify regional population needs and potential ways to improve cancer, chronic disease and COVID-19 health disparities, gaps in resources and reduce barriers that enable our partners to improve access for Region residents.
