To help community-based and grassroots organizations and individuals become more successful in competing for and securing funding for their youth justice-related programs, the Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) is hosting free Grant Writing 101 seminars via Microsoft Teams. These seminars will give attendees a comprehensive overview of the grant writing process. They will provide tools and strategies for developing compelling, successful grant proposals and applications for county, state, federal, and private foundation funding.

Seminar topics include:

• Finding funding opportunities
• Understanding the “Request for Proposal” process
• Collaboration Measuring impact
• Identifying needs
• Developing goals and objectives
• Developing a budget
• Identifying and using data
