The Youth Center offers residents of Toms River a safe, supervised, inexpensive alternative for childcare through the After-School Care and Summer Camp Programs. Toms River Youth Services also offers short-term guidance and referral services for children of Ocean County. Guidance sessions include subject areas such as peer pressure, anger management, and bullying.

Since the programs are low cost or free, residents have the option to take advantage of services they might not otherwise be able to afford. The programs at Youth Services offer children a well-rounded environment emphasizing respect and encompassing activities to exercise the body, mind, and spirit. Our working parents tell us about the positive influence that the Youth Services Program has had in their daily lives. Many parents tell us they have had the stress of securing safe affordable childcare removed. Youth Services has an overall positive effect on quality of life in our community.

Eligibility Must be residents of Ocean County. To be eligible for the guidance program, children must live in Ocean County and be between the ages of 6-17 years old.
