The Friendship Circle of Central Jersey was founded with the goal of promoting a greater awareness and understanding of both the unique needs and the unique gifts of people with special needs, and encourages respect and empathy for those facing challenges.

Friends at Home: Free Program

Friends at Home pairs teenage volunteers with individuals with special needs for weekly play dates. We believe every individual should have the opportunity to have friends come over to their home and enjoy an hour of fun and games. This program takes place in the comfort of the individual with special needs home, with parental supervision.

Sunday Circle: Full year: $600, or $550 early bird special by August 18 & Bi-yearly: $300 (pay in 2 installments.

Sunday Circle is 2 hours of non-stop fun and engagement under the guidance of an experienced teacher and with the help of our teen buddies. We enjoy different exciting activities each week, all while interacting with our fellow participants and volunteers. Each Sunday, we enjoy music therapy and additional electives such as yoga, Zumba, martial arts, crafts, cooking, and more!

At Friendship Circle, our main goal is for our participants to gain true friendships, in a social setting where they feel welcomed and cared for.

YAD & YAD Jr. (young Adult)

Meeting weekly, our Young Adult Division gives teens and adults with special needs an opportunity to have fun and hang out with friends in a comfortable and safe environment.

By having special electives, fun games & activities, and by going on trips out in the community, we aim to give our participants exposure to many different experiences and hands-on learning. Through a series of community service-oriented activities, participants learn the satisfaction of giving back while gaining vital social and vocational skills.

Most importantly, we hope for our participants to gain true friendships, in a social setting where they feel welcomed and cared for.

Winter Camp

Registration for camp closes when attendance is filled (first come first serve) or by December 8 (2022 date). We cannot accept registrations after this date.
