Family Promise of the Jersey Shore

Family Promise of the Jersey Shore is a non-profit, interfaith hospitality network providing temporary shelter, meals, hospitality, and case management for families experiencing homelessness and provide prevention and diversion services to those at risk of homelessness. We do this through the participation of local congregations, community organizations, dedicated staff, and hundreds of volunteers.

Prevention
Preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place with Shelter Diversion and Casting Lifelines Referral programs.

Emergency Shelter
Our rotational shelter program and warm hospitality are the foundation of the Family Promise model.

Graduate Support Services 
Helping the families we serve not only succeed today but remain stable in their housing, financial capability, and career paths tomorrow.

Community Initiatives
Family Promise understands the needs of vulnerable families. So, we offer innovative programs – such as tenancy preparation, financial literacy, and virtual career pathway training - to address them in a cost-effective, targeted approach.

Eligibility CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION FOR SERVICES: • Adult parent must have at least 1 child under the age of 18. • Does not have a permanent place to live and is from Ocean County area or willing to travel in local area • Is currently employed or able to secure employment or increase income • Has no current issues with drugs, alcohol Willingness to participate in program
