Surflight High School Apprentice Program

Surflight High School Apprentice Program

The Surflight High School Apprentice Program is designed to allow talented young people the opportunity to work directly with theatre professionals and gain first-hand experience in a professional theatrical production.

An Apprentice is a student that is entering 9th grade through just graduated High School and who has an interest in theatre. Love to Sing or Dance?  Want to learn Sound or Lights? Like Box Office or Publicity? There are opportunities for you!

Students are given a sense of professionalism and tools to help them follow through on commitments, plan time wisely and meet deadlines and responsibilities. As a result of their participation in the program, Surflight apprentices have the advantage to go on to successful careers in various areas of theatre or through the valuable skills instilled by our program, successfully pursue careers in other areas which are non-theatre-based. One of the major goals of the program is to teach the advantage of hard work and working together as a team.

This program is completely tuition-free for eligible candidates.
