4 Elements Earth Education - New Teen Leadership & Wilderness Skills Series
Teen Weekends in the Pines are an opportunity for teens who have attended introductory courses to delve deeper into the skills of survival, tracking, and awareness - in an environment of fun, fellowship, and 'dirt time'.
By attending monthly weekend gatherings, teens will create a connection with the Pine Barrens through all the seasons, see the fruits of their labor as they help with long term caretaking projects, and work together to create a teen 'primitive camp' they can return to month after month. Teens will have the chance to request topics to be covered each weekend, and scout skills and martial arts - with the purpose of protection of self and others - will be woven into each gathering.
Teen weekends will also serve as a step toward taking a leadership role within Coyote Tracks Youth Programs as a whole - as those who put in significant dirt time and show initiative may be invited back to family courses as interns.
We will meet at Wells Mills County Park (905 Wells Mills Rd, Waretown, NJ 08758) at 3pm on Friday. 4WD/AWD is required for the ~20-minute drive into camp. We will carpool/caravan from the meet-up location into camp (and back on Sunday) as needed.
The recommended equipment list will be emailed out with your confirmation. ** All meals are included for the duration of the Weekend.
