Young People's Day Camp (YPDC)

Young People’s Day Camps is the largest private summer day camp for boys and girls ages 4-14 in the New York and New Jersey area. YPDC’s philosophy is to “grow” children intellectually, physically and spiritually in a FUN environment! 2-8 week programs are available and each camp is operated by licensed teachers and administrators. FREE Transportation!

At YPDC, our top priority is safety. All group counselors are certified teachers or college students over the age of 18. The ratio of of campers to counselors is less than 8 to 1 (lower in younger age groups). Our directors are teachers and administrators, with many years of camping experience. We offer 5-day a week programs, for any amount of weeks (2 weeks minimum...8 weeks maximum) FREE DOOR-TO-DOOR TRANSPORTATION IS INCLUDED as is LUNCH for each camper. All activities, trips, insurance, shirts, camp-bag, trophies and awards are included as well. Each camper is picked up at home and transported to camp by school-bus. (All our drivers are Bricktown Board of Ed certified, we feel it is best to leave the driving to professionals).

Once at camp, each camper has the option of many supervised activities such as: swimming in our private pool, arts & crafts, whiffle ball, knock hockey, kickball, soccer, ceramics, sand art, beaded jewelry, tie dye...and much more. Lunch is served from 11:30 am-12:00 pm.

After lunch we head out for our daily trip!

This years trips will be to the movies, bowling, roller-skating, BlueClaws games, FunTime America, FunMania, Club Cool, Bowcraft Amusement Park, Popcorn Park Zoo, Jenkinson’s Aquarium, Island Beach State Park, Ocean County Park, Medieval Time, Swimming Pool, Thundering Surf Waterpark, Tuckerton Seaport, Barnegat Lighthouse, and much, much more.

Campers also stop for Rita's Ice about 2-3 per week to help cool down! Upon returning from our trip, campers wash up and dismiss from camp around 3:30. Our campers are safely home usually between 4-5 pm.
