I provide a personal relationship where a person can feel safe and inspired for their own personal growth and healing. With extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families, I am equipped to address a wide range of life-controlling problems, including addiction and other levels of substance use. I understand that when a person presents for counseling they are in need of support and relief from what is troubling them, therefore my approach is directive and solution-focused. I am bilingual in American Sign Language and can serve Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
It's natural for children to play and move rather than talk. In my practice, children are provided toys, games, and craft activities to have a fun and exciting experience. Adolescents will have opportunities to explore yoga, develop mindfulness, learn and practice coping skills and develop healthy communication techniques.
I am passionate about wellness and support the integration of alternative modalities that complement the therapeutic work being done; yoga, qigong, meditation, tapping (EFT), art, exercise and even play. There are a variety of paths toward optimal wellness and together we can discover what that path looks like for you.
