Register today for an in-person course educating the community on mental health aid for youth. Offered on May 1st, 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM at Toms River Fire Training Center. 1780 Church Road Toms River, NJ 08753. Lunch will be provided.

Why attend?

Youth Mental Health Aid will help attendees identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18. The course will teach individuals how to apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE):

• Asses for risk of suicide or harm
• Listen nonjudgmentally. 
• Give reassurance and information. 
• Encourage appropriate professional help.
• Encourage self-help and other support strategies.
