PFLAG Jersey Shore is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and advocacy for the parents and families of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals, as well as LGBTQ individuals themselves. We operate locally in Monmouth and Ocean counties of New Jersey, hosting 2 support meetings each month and sponsoring numerous educational events throughout the year. If you or someone you know is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning, we invite you to join us!.
Our Ocean County support group meets in Toms River on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. At this meeting, we discuss the full range of LGBTQ-rlated topics. We welcome parents and other family members, friends, allies, and LGBTQ people to attend. Our meeting is open to anyone who wants to join us, however we do encourage transgender individuals and their families to attend our transgender/transfamilies support meeting.
Our Transgender/Transfamilies support group meets in Shrewsbury on the 3rd Monday of each month. This meeting focuses exclusively on topics related to gender identity. We welcome parents and other family members, friends, allies, and transgender or gender noncomforming people to attend.
